The Golf Craze, sketches and rhymes

Edinburgh: T.N. Foulis, ca 1905. 123p. illustrated wrappers. Fiction, very attractive title.
An imaginative assemblage of essays, poems and anecdotes about golf in the early 1900s, full of sportsmanship and humour. Contains "To Mr. Walter Travis, Amateur Champion, 1904", complimenting the first non-Brit to win the Amateur, with the American invention 'that aluminium block', but remonstrating golfers of both countries that Travis was, after all, born and raised in Australia. Part of the Percy Boomer golf library. Good, slight crack to spine, covers and contents very good. Item #9905
