Edinburgh, Scotland: David Douglas, 1895. 68p. cloth. Twenty golf poems. First edition in variant binding. Donovan & Murdoch # 4400 as well as Donovan & Jerris # S37240 list this title as being 16 cm. in height (See Antiquarian Golf inventory Number 202123). The volume listed here is 17.5 cm in height and has the title and date of publication on the spine which is another variation. Furthermore, the cover titling contains the subtitle, the other first edition does not. One final difference is this book has red "chalk" endpapers while the other first edition has white end papers. The number of pages and contents is exactly the same in both volumes including the "List of Books on Golf Recently Published" at the rear. Very good, minor blemishes to cover, contents very good.
