Braid's playing career covered some 30 years, his architectural career 50 plus, given that he travelled to 99% of his time by rail, quite impressive designing, or altering an average of 80 courses per decade about a course every six weeks! Possibly Gleneagles being his finest achievement, one of the most enjoyable (playable) inland tests in the world.
