The frontis of the book is a reproduction of a colour portrait of Ouimet wearing his read coat as Captain of the Royal and Ancient golf club of St. Andrews. The original portrait was painted by Dwight David Eisenhower. This comprehensive history traces the club's history from the early days when it was also a race track.
