Editor and publisher Don Wilson created the enviable task of researching a truly great period of golfing literature, golf had boomed in the last decade of the 19th century, now everyone was playing and the period did not pass without some classic contributions housed and edited in the wonderful publication.

An assembly from books and pamphlets that express the diversity of topics that illuminate the history and dimensions of golf in the era. The chapters include: History, Venues, Rules with an Appendix: Alister Mackenzie's 'Military Entrenchments'. Produced by full colour process and with an Introduction by D M Wilson.  It is bound in dark green Arbelave buckramand and complete with a slipcase.
Edwardian Golf completes the trilogy begun in 2011 with A Journey through the Annals of The Golfing Annuals and Rarities in the Library of Golf in 2013.
The era saw a significant increase in the popularity of golf books. Our selections are arranged thematically: History, Venues, The Game, Art and Humour, Essays, Poetry and Song, Agronomy and Rules.
We include some significant authors: The Hon. R H Lyttleton, Harold H Hilton, H S Colt, Rev John Kerr and Garden G Smith. W E Fairlie's little known Layout of the Old Course of St Andrews is included in the History chapter as is William Garrott Brown's Golf. Ernest H Baugham's How to Caddie and Alexander Worth McAlister's The Eternal Verities of Golf are little known. Humour and Poetry are represented among the thirty-four selections.
As an Appendix, Alister Mackenzie's Military Entrenchments was a significant contribution then to the future design of bunkers.
