Chester Horton began his golfing career in 1893 carrying the clubs of the famed Charles Blair Macdonald around the Chicago Golf Club links, the first 18-hole course in America. Horton went on to be a professional player and later, a noted instructor. He was known as a man of science in golf for his many inventions facilitating golf instruction. He eventually had a golf school in Chicago and in Seattle Washington, and manufactured his own line of golf clubs. Vert Good. Item #10963
